In addition to the full AR2020 program, there will be some great opportunities to extend your Portland vacation, check out this vegan-friendly city and spend some quality time with fellow activists.

Pre-Conference Events:

We are currently planning a tour of Portland to give out-of-towners a chance to explore some of the city’s many vegan hot spots. Enhance your conference experience by joining other attendees on this trip around The City of Roses and making new friends along the way.

Tofurky Tour: Thursday, July 16 starting at 10 am

The close proximity to Tofurky headquarters has enabled us to plan a one-of-a-kind tour of their beautiful facilities. Get the inside scoop on one of our favorite vegan businesses! To learn more and get your tickets (limited to the first 38 people) click here.

There will also be additional training events and meet-ups coordinated by supporting groups taking place prior to the conference.

Stay tuned! Details on pre-conference activities will be shared as they become available!

Post-Conference Events:

Vivisection Protest: Monday, July 20 at 10 am

Stop Animal Exploitation NOW! (SAEN) is organizing a massive protest on Monday, July 20 from 10am - 12:30pm (travel time not included). This historic protest will be held at the Oregon National Primate Research Center at 505 NW 185th Ave, Beaverton OR 97006, just 15 miles from the Hyatt Regency hotel. Please note that the airport is a 35 minute drive from the primate center if you need to fly out directly after the protest.

With so many activists in the area for the conference, SAEN is hoping to make this the largest U.S. anti-vivisection demo of the 21st century. With plans to attract media attention, SAEN’s goal is to have activists in attendance from every US state and as many countries as possible to speak out for animals trapped in labs.

SAEN will coordinate travel to and from the Hyatt.

RSVP on the Facebook event page and stay tuned for additional details!
